The makers of "I DO They Dont" have taken footage, from Prelinger Archive, of a film made nearly 50 years ago in which George Putman vigorously denounces sale of pornagraphy to children and the use of children in junk pornography sold to Adults. George Putman has a long, honorable and distinguished career including courage in war-time service. This is an OBSCENE OUTRAGE

Oh, I didn't pick up that this was about George Putnam again. You really should watch about being more clear what you mean.

But ... I think the makers of the film are perfectly justified in using Putnam. I rewatched P4P and Putnam refers to homosexuals as "deviant" and "unnatural", he very clearly thinks homosexuality is wrong and would very obviously not support homosexual marriage. Putnam is the very image of the archiac bigot and his words and views are accurately reflected by the makers of "I Do, They Don't". I am pleased no end that he will be remembered as a archiac bigot down through the centuries along with the other archiac bigots in the video Jerry Falwell, et al.

While we're on the subject, I thought I would point out another favorite in this genre though it has no Prelinger footage. Its called Holy Matrimony Billy! and is a spoof short about a gay man that dreams of marrying George W Bush and is told why that can't happen. It uses made up caricature bigots, maybe you'll find that more appealing.

To AKB...A long ,LONG time ago , Putman was ANGRY at the ABUSE of young CHILDREN.. So I think they that we can forgive him for several incorrect statements.

Let's also take into consideration that a lot of people at that time, even thoughtful film makers assume that child molesters who molest children of their own sex are homosexuals. It doesn't suprise me that he hated homosexuals, and while an artist must be seperated from his art work, two wrongs don't make a right.

Interesting that you point that out akb.. I was going to post that on the archive, (but rights issues were a problem). I know Mark personally, and I'm sure he'll be thrilled to see his film mentioned here. :)
